Dreams

Dreams, we all have them.
Mine are of places far and distant.
Of faces and races queer and different.
So one day we gotta be apart.
But you, you who are left,
You, who are loved,
Be hopeful and sustain the pain.
Know that hope is stronger than a hurricane.
And after every dry spell comes the rain.
Finally a way will open,
And one day I’ll see you again.
There’s a world out there that I wanna see.
There’s a man that I wanna be.
Bestowed upon me is a worthy cause.
And a bunch of grand dreams I can’t lose.
Many days will pass by, I suppose.
Before we get to be close.
But For a while, I hope you can hold your patience,
For I’ve gone only to seek a life for all of us.
